"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" Romans 5:8
We arrived safely in Guangzhou after a 4 1/2 hour fly. The children slept most of the flight so it was a pleasant one other than the fact that I got sick the day before and did not feel good. We arrived at the Victory Hotel around 4:00 p.m. and it started raining almost as soon as we arrived. The children were bouncing off of the walls with energy since they both had very long naps. We were here almost 4 hours before we realized that there is an in-door playroom on the 3rd floor. We spent over an hour and 1/2 there and finally wore them out! Abigail and Shane continues to fight with her starting the hitting and she likes to scratch. He has much less patience with her than he did at first. The beds here are softer than what we have had so far and I slept better than I have thus far. Abigail woke up around 5:00 a.m. and I put her in the crib as she was in the bed with Shane. She woke up a few minutes later and wanted me to hold her. That was a first. I ended up holding her and rocking her for almost 2 hours. It was a wonderful feeling! I sat in the dark room and looked at her beautiful face sleeping, looked at my little boy sleeping in the bed nearby and thought of my two grown boys that God has blessed me with and I rejoiced and thanked Him for all of my blessings - the greatest of all outside of salvation, my children. It is around 1:20 p.m. on Sunday here and we have had a great day. It is cloudy and I think it will rain later but we had had a great breakfast and then a long stroll and shopping. We bought a second stroller which is a big help. Mandy enjoyed the shopping and we all spent too much money! Abigail only wanted me for the first several hours of the day. I truly think with the daily bathing, diaper changes, hair combing, etc. that she is truly starting to feel like I am her "mama". It is starting to cloud up outside so we may be spending the evening indoors. We have to meet Mr. Li at 7:45 a.m. in the morning for her medical visit. The weather is suppose to be nice tomorrow so we hope to spend the day outside. There is an outside play area behind the hotel also. I definitely recommend the Victory Hotel for future traveling families!

Oh my goodness. I spent 2 weeks at the victory and did not know there was a playroom there. It sounds like Abigail is catching on that you are there to stay. That is a blessing. Jenne (AAI)
