Last Day at Home Before We Travel to China!

"Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 1 John 4: 7
It is almost unbelievable.......it has been almost 2 years since we began our journey to Abigail. For those who have not been following our blog since the beginning, we began looking for Abigail's file in April 2007. We found her file in February 2008 and received pre-approval in March 2008 from the CCAA to adopt her. Because we were in the first "batch" of Hague families applying for adoption under the new Hague regulations, it took over 3 months for our home study to be approved by USCIS and for us to submit our dossier to China. It is all about the Lord's timing and we know that we are traveling tomorrow, Thursday, March 19th because it is the Lord's will and His timing. I can't even think about the moment when I see her without becoming teary eyed. I have been sleeping fairly good up until Friday night. I woke up after dreaming that we were in Washington, D.C., where our flight to Beijing leaves and had forgotten our passports. Last night was the worst night in terms of waking up every couple of hours. I am physically exhausted from all the activity of the house renovations, packing and getting ready for the trip but the brain doesn't stop even if the body does!
The pictures on this post were taken by Luke's family when they visited New Day in February. Abigail was not happy the day that the pictures were taken but Bonnie said she was much happier the next day but she didn't have her camera with her. I have received pictures from other families along the way that were at New Day and so much appreciate them. Abigail is with Leah Hope in the last picture and Leah joins our family this week and we are excited for her. Olivia should officially have a family soon also!
We will miss home and will miss our family. To my two big boys, please know that you are forever in my heart and I love you more than life itself. To my siblings, I am so thankful that God made us a part of the same family and I appreciate and love you more than words can express. To all my friends out there, I appreciate all of your prayers and support! I am a very blessed woman to have the family and friends that I do.
I have to run and finish with the "final touches"! God bless!

Doris,

A quick note to say, Happy belated Birthday to Shane . . . and to let you know that I am praying as you go! It's finally Abigail's turn! Thank you Lord!

Father God, please prepare Abigail's heart for all that is to come. Please be with this family as they begin the final leg of this journey to their precious daughter. I pray that You will prepare the way Lord. In Jesus name, Amen!

Blessings as you go dear friend! I can't wait to "follow" along!

Love,

Tina
