Third Day in Guangzhou

"Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you." I John 5:7

We wrapped up our second day in Guangzhou with a visit with Leah (from New Day) and her family. John ran into them while on the street and arranged for us to get together at 5:00 p.m. We told Abigail that she would be seeing Leah and she was very excited. However, when we got to the White Swan and met her family, she was reluctant at first. Once she got used to the different environment, they played like "old buddies" and had a great time. I very much enjoyed visiting with Leah's parents. They have two adopted children from China (Leah is the second) and one biological child who is 12 years old. When it was time for the visit to end, Abigail cried to stay with Leah. She continues to be "my baby" and wants me to hold her, stroll her, etc. It thrills my heart. Poor Shane does not get much "mommy time". Mandy took her for a stroll this morning so Shane and I could spend some quiet time together. I held and rocked him and sang to him. I assured him that I would always love and be his mommy also. Abigail had her medical examination this morning and all went well. At least from our perspective, she had to get 3 shots and was not a happy camper. After the medical exam, we strolled again as the weather was nice and they played at the outside playground behind the hotel. John is not feeling well today, however. Mandy is very much enjoying her trip and is doing lots of shopping. I am not sure where she is going to put all the stuff she is buying to bring back home! We have our oath at the Consulate tomorrow at 3:00 p.m. We leave on Wednesday morning to fly home! It has been a very good trip overall (much better than the last one) but we are more than ready to return home to family, friends, and church family. All prayers for our safe travel are greatly appreciated. God bless! p.s. Sharon - pay attention to the name of the shop in the picture of Mandy!

So nice to be following along and sounds like things are going fine. Hope everyone feels okay for the flight home .. I can't believe you're almost heading home already!

The question is where is Mandy going to put all of that stuff once she gets home? I'm glad the trip has been a good one thus far. God is good!!
