I am so far behind in EVERYTHING. The summer has flown by. We celebrated Luci's 1st birthday on July 24th. It was great and everyone had a good time. Melissa's family joined in the celebration so as usual we had a house full! My heart is filled with joy to have John, Melissa, and Luci at home with us. It is an answered prayer to have all 4 of my children and my precious granddaughter living in Virginia.

This is not to say that we have had our moments with all of us living in one house. Everyone's patience has been tested at one point or another. It is now September and the Shane and Abigail are in school. What a blessing for many reasons! My work has changed quite a bit and I am sad to report that I am working more hours than I would like to. Having the children in school takes off the burden of someone else in the family having to keep them while I work.

John and Melissa will be moving out soon but will be living about 3 miles from us. Another blessing! Jeremy plans on moving out in early October so our house will be back to a family of four again soon. John's mother was hospitalized last week and we are thankful that the Lord continues to allow her to remain with us. It truly is miracle that she is still with us. She and Abigail are very close and I am thrilled that Abigail will have memories of at least one of her grandmothers.

There have been many activities of the summer including a trip to King's Dominion for the kids, county fairs, homecoming picnic at church, Ladies conference for me and Mandy, etc. I am ready to slow down and ease into a beautiful Virginia Fall.
