And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment. Philippians 1:9
Fall has arrived to Virginia! It is my favorite time of the year. The weather is cooler and the leaves are changing. We celebrated Abigail's 5th birthday on Saturday, October 2nd. It is hard to believe that she was 3 1/2 years old when we brought her home and now she is 5 years old. It was a beautiful day with lovely temperatures so we celebrated outside. Abigail dressed up in her princess outfit -actually she ended up wearing two different princess outfits during the duration of the party. A great time was had by all. Abigail loved all her gifts but I think her favorite was the pillow pet that Uncle Roy and Aunt Carol got her.
We always remember our blessings when 3 of her grandparents are present for the celebrations. Abigail is very close to her paternal grandmother and it is only by the grace of God that she is still with us. I am thankful that Abigail is old enough that she will always remember her. She did not get to meet my mother but she loves for me to tell her stories about my childhood memories of my mother.
We will be celebrating Shane's 4th year of being with our family on October 23rd. Time has flown by! We brought a 19th month old baby home and now he is 5 1/2 years old! He is in kindergarten and loves school. He is doing well and is a happy and energetic little boy.
John Anthony and his family moved out two weeks ago and are in their own place now. I try to remember to thank God every day for the answered prayer of having them home now and for being able to see Luci almost every day. What a blessing! Jeremy moved out two nights ago. Our house is quieter and neater these days. Again, we are blessed in that he is living in Charlottesville which in only about 40 minutes away. 2010 has been quite a year with lots of things going on and lots of changes. Many have been positive changes and we are one blessed family!
