August is Here and Still No Word from USCIS

Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him.......Psalms 37:7

I am going to have to commit this verse to memory. I have to admit that the wait for USCIS to review and eventually approve our I800 is starting to wear on me. We were fingerprinted last Wednesday, July 30th. All in all it went smoothly -even though we ran into road work on route 3 on our way to Alexandria, Va and I was very nervous about us being late for our 11:00 a.m. appointment. We got there about 11:05 a.m. and the visit took about an hour. We had a nice lunch on the way home and it was a good day. I e-mailed the Hague Unit this week to check status of our file and was informed that our file still had not been assigned to an Officer. It has been 69 days since we sent off our I800 and home study.

Jeremy returns to college on Saturday. I know he is looking forward to it but I am not. It does get easier each year but still hard to have him pack up and live somewhere else for 9 months. We will all miss him.
John and Melissa just wrapped up a week of vacation in Oregon and Seattle and I hope to have pictures of their vacation to post soon.

John took his parents to Jamestown, VA this past Saturday. Andy and Jeremy went along and they had an enjoyable day. Andy brought Shane and Nicholas back hats so I am including a picture of Shane with his new hat on. I am including one of Abigail enjoying the pool. She is having a great summer and I try to remember how blessed she and we are when I become impatient with the wait. I just want her home with us so badly.
