The Summer is Moving Fast

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalms 46:1

It is now July 1st and our I800A was sent over a month ago to USCIS. I have been in touch with the Hague Unit in Missouri and as of Monday of this week they were working on documents received 05/28/08. They received our documents on 06/10/08 as they were sent to the Fairfax office first and then forwarded to the Missouri office. The wait is hard. It is made easier by the knowing that Abigail is having a good summer and is healthy and happy. New Day posts new pictures on the web-site frequently and she is busy with birthday parties, trips to the Wildlife Park, and other activities. We received our monthly update for her and it said that she is very talkative and a happy child. It blesses our heart to hear these things. We also received a small package from New Day with a complimentary gift of a note pad and in it was included a worksheet that she colored and she wrote her name on it. The "small things" mean a great deal to us.

Shane is also having a good summer and plays hard! One of his favorite things to do is for he and Nicholas to put on their Batman and Superman capes and run around the house pretending to be the characters. It is a noisy activity as the breast plates have Superman and Batman sayings and are activated by pushing on them. I try to encourage them to go outside and run around with them on. He also loves to ride the four-wheeler with Andy and Nicholas. I am trying to discourage him from swimming in Sharon's pool as the chlorine makes his eczema worst.
Jeremy is working full-time at UVA for the Summer and rides to work with Sharon and I and we are enjoying spending more time with him. He seems to be having a good summer and all too soon he will be returning to college for the Fall semester.
I am truly still in shock from losing my dear mother. It has been 4 weeks now and I still can't believe it. I miss her terribly. Our family continues to pull together and we try to be strong as she would want us to be.
